Cat delete seals?
I installed my catalytic converter delete and was wondering if there is suppose to be any type of seal or gasket used between pipes? Not that I think there is an issue but it looks like there was something in the original setup.

Two Brothers and Lamont's use the existing donut gasket.

Yes, you reuse the gasket that came off the factory pipe.

What is the purpose of removing the cat convertor?? Besides weight reduction, is there an increase in performance, fuel economy and such?

Reduced radiant heat and it SOUNDs so much better. Yes an increase in performance as well.

Rumour has it that the primary muffler as BRP call it is not a CAT converter at all.
I have the Lamonster pipe and have yet to fit it, as I'm quite worried that it would
be too loud and my garage is directly beneath someone else's apartment. It may not go
down too well with them if I return from a trip (Daily) in the small hours and make a lot
of noise! We do have strict noise legislation in the UK in respect of vehicles.

The surface temperature of the Cat Converter is approx 180 degrees hotter than the surface of the cat delete pipe

Install it, you will like it. It just is noticeable at idle if you heard another spyder to compare.

Does the F3 have to "elevated" to add this pipe? Any special tools required?
Thanks, Rick

You don't need to lift the bike but a good spring tool is required.
