Windshields by F4 Customs for the F3 ready for shipment in 2 weeks
We are announcing the release of the F3 windshield with the shipping starting on the 27th of this month. The final testing took place yesterday and we are in production of the hardware and windshields at this time.
The shields that will be produced will be a 28" and 32" in both clear and tint. The hardware that will be supplied will be adjustable to allow you to tilt the windshield forward and back which changes the height by about 2 inches.
The hardware is black powder coated.
Pictures will be available very soon however it looks great on the F3 and when I took the F3 for a ride I was very impressed with the air flow. I am 6 feet tall and with the 32" shield I was just looking barely over with the shield tilted up and when tilted back I was looking over. Note that in both settings I had great wind protection with the air passing over my head.
Again I will try and get some pictures up this week and we will start taking orders on Monday of next week.
Pricing sorry not sure what this will be until next week.
Contact Don Frank (me) via e mail donfrank@f4customs.com with any questions you might have or if you want to be put on the list for ordering.
Thanks for waiting you will be glad you did.

Boy i would love to ride on with that winshield.
Could be a deciding factor. I loved the machine but wind beat me to death

I really needed a windshield
so I bought a Manstead because I couldn't wait. That windshield looks great. How Much? Will you take a slightly used Manstead with bugs from 4 states on it as a trade?

Tell me about what appears to be side wings in the photos.
-
Can you relate the height, tilted up and down, to some measurable point on the F3?
Thanks, Rick

Looks gigantic. I'll stick with gauge spoiler and full face, please! IMHO.

Hi Don,
couple questions...
Does the installation use any existing attachment points or do new holes have to be drilled
what is the price?
Are you accepting preorders

F4 windshield for F3
The installation uses your existing mounting points but you do have to enlarge (drill out) two existing holes in the front mounting . Really easy. No pricing until next week when I get back in the office. WE will start taking orders next Tuesday at 330-968-4644 and ask that you call Don or Kim direct at 330-968-4644 as I may not have them on the web site by then.

Using your measurements for the 32" while sitting on my F3 it appears at 5'-11" I would be looking through the windshield at both positions. At 6'-1" you said you looked above shield only at the lowest position. Is the 28" model 4" lower at the same measurement point?
Thanks, Rick

No Fuel Needed
Well, I guess if you install one of these and you run out of gas....make sure it's a windy day and you'll be just fine "sailing" down the road....LOL! OK, sorry to me negative....just joking around. Anyway, I'll keep my Blue Ridge. Enjoy!

Need some more pictures and I would also like to see the contour of the rear mount better match the surface it mounts to.

I am 6 feet 1 and it works great in either position.
More coming soon. At a rally this week and will be taking orders next week and putting more info up for all.
Where is the measurement from in the second pic? 18" from where?

I checked the website, and the prices are very close to what BRP charges. Is there a difference in quality between your windshields and the ones BRP offers?
Thanks

Having owned some of their shields on past bikesI can tell you their shields are the best made when it comes to durability . Don't wipe your Blue Ridge or most other aftermarket shields with a paper towel or a car wash brush, it will scratch the hell out of it...
I think they have videos on YouTube or their site showing how tough their shields are, do a search and you will be impressed.
My only hesitation on the new one for the F3 is its mounting... I really don't like drilling holes in OEM parts

No the 28" is 4" lower on the angle and therefore just about 2" shorter in height

We have not announced the price yet and will be doing this tomorrow and start taking orders. The quality is far greater due to the rain shedding, High Scratch Resistance (even with steel wool) and the clarity is perfect. Hope this helps. Watch our web site videos on the other windshields and you will see what the difference is. Would love to earn your business.
