New owner
I just figured I would say hello. I just purchased a 2011 RS-S and I am antsy to ride. I am coming from a motorcycle so it is a bit of an adjustment, but seems fun so far!

Yes, mostly leave out of Mora....there's a few of us in the Twin Cities areas and can certainly ryde between dates of the MN Spyderlovers Group (the group has rydes set-up once/month)....
Good luck with your new Spyder - get used to it and enjoy!
Happy and safe rydin'

We would love to have you join us on future rides. Look on this forum for the list of our Caswell Rides. We always leave from Caswell Cycle in Mora, MN and then if you need to head out for other places or its just closer to home to head out from our destination that always fine too. If you are a facebook person search for our fb page: Minnesota SpyderLovers I am the administrator so just ask to join and I will add you. It is another spot to connect with Minnesota riders too. Look forward to meeting you.

It's awesome.
I drive up from Eagan. I leave my house around 7:30 am. 15 to 20 minutes through The Cities, on a Saturday morning, when traffic is at it's lightest. Then an hour ryding making the transition from city life to country life during the cool morning hours.
Meet at Caswell's at 9 for some coffee, cake, comradery, and admire everyone else's mod's and Farkles. Then leave at 10 for a couple hours riding around "up-nort" until we end up at a fun place for lunch. Then make the transition back home.
It doesn't get any better. I look forward to it every month. Rain or shine, it's well worth it.
I'm a new face in the group this year and have been made to feel very welcomed. The Caswell's are excellent hosts.
Out with the old - Blue 2013 Spyder RTS SE5

60 miles is NOTHING... I'd gladly do that. I'm in the middle of a spyder desert .

We have a couple of overnighters coming up....I'll be posting the info for them soon...maybe you could drive out of the desert to our oasis for a weekend and join us!

Well I have put about a 150 miles on it, and boy does it take a little getting use to! Having both brakes on the peddle makes it a lot easier! Still trying to adjust to the clutch points (ie around 5k+), but it is a load of fun!

There is a post thread here on Spyderlovers for newbie riders with all sorts of advice and good tips for new owners and riders. If I can find it I will post a link to it for you or you could do a search and see what comes up too. The more miles you put on the smoother it gets and you get too. The hardest thing for me to do was quit strangleing the handelbars!!! I kept reminding myself in the beginning to RELAX! Hope to see you soon on one of our up coming rides.
