Gee, thanks for the reminder of what is to come. Rode almost 300 miles today in beautiful 65 degree bright blue sky weather. Pretty sure that is going to be the last long ride this season. Cold weather and maybe flurries coming this weekend. CT DOT was out today spraying bridges with calcium chloride (UGH). But if it stays dry, I'll still be out there all bundled up and happy. Can't complain, this Fall has been just great ryding weather here. Maybe I will get in a few more days before Great White goes into winter hibernation.

    Thumbs up Winter??

Winter is about to hit the Sierra Nevada. The Ski resort above me opened today (but only one beginner lift). A series of storms is about to hit the Sierras and all the resorts will open soon. I CAN'T WAIT.

As much as I love to ride and ryde---- I've also been sking for almost 50 years and am also addicted to it.

    Default Weather?

Having done a couple cross country solos, and ridden a DL1000 Suzuki for three hours in 30° F on my way to Houston, I do not get overly concerned about weather. Looking forward to testing Spyder in snow....LOL

This morning we saw 26° F while walking the dogs, easily accommodated with my riding outfit....Aerostich one piece suit.

Will watch this thread... nice to see the Carpenters....

It's not the cold weather that should concern you: it's the (lack of) traction.
