Thanks, Scotty! What's the Holly atmosphere like? Big turnout? Religious event?

James, if you go to Holly, let us know, we are less than half an hour from there and we would come just to meet with you and have a bite to eat.
When Brian and I stopped at it last year, we noticed a pretty good mix of folks and bikes. All styles, brands, types, you name it. (Same for the people) H.I.M. did have a big presence there, and actually sponsors the event, (they have a morning service and a bike blessing) but I wouldn't call the event itself a religious event. We spent most of our time trying to get away from our spyders, lots of questions for sure. LOL

Bump for the Rally at Battle Alley in Holly, MI, Sunday, May 3. Fun event! If you haven't been before, it's a great little downtown get together of bikes and bikers. New, vintage, all makes and models (few harleys). There's something here for everyone to look at. Wish we could be there, but we don't have our sea legs yet, so to speak.

Holly Rally at Battle Alley
I had the only Spyder at this event. It was a great day! My wife drove up with our 2 French Bulldogs and they were getting more attention than the motorcycles!

So sorry we missed and Bonnie and the babies. I worked last night and didn't get up until 2:00 pm. I tried to call back and see if you were still there but didn't get an answer. Also, for future events, let us know if you are definitely going to go to them and we can plan on going for sure too.

Duckster! That's an awesome quest!
Also, Michigan Spyder-Ryders: please keep me in the loop on rides, etc. I don't always get a chance to check the boards, but I do check my PMs.

Vintage Motorcycle Show
Bump for the Vintage Motorcycle Ride, Show, and Swap Meet June 13-14 at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. If you've been to this event, you know it is a great destination for a ride, with up to 3,000 spectator motorcycle showing up annually, with spectator motorcycle parking adjacent to the show field. The vintage bike show is one of the largest in the area, and has literally hundreds of gorgeous old bikes. The Museum also has a "History of Drag Racing" exhibit this year, that features some splendid cars, as well as some of E.J. "Michigan Madman" Potter's old race bikes. Well worth the $8 spectator admission...or enter a pre-1989 bike if you have one.
Vintage motorcycle ride Saturday June 13 for bikes 1988 and older. Show and swap meet Sunday June 14. Hope to see some of you there. Don't let Nancy have the only Spyder this year.

I always love going to the Gilmore care Museum - hopefully the rain will stay away this year. There were a couple Spyders there last year - but nothing organized as they were not riding together. I usually go with some HD buddies of mine. Last year we got caught in k-zoo in one hell of a downpour!

The vintage ride Saturday is about a three hour ride for 1988 and earlier motorcycles only. You don't have to enter the show to ride, but it must be a vintage bike. No Spyders allowed, I'm afraid, not for another 24 years. The Museum will be open 9-6. Sunday is the bike show and swap meet.

Okay - so Sunday is the main 'spectator' day then.

You going on Sunday Firefly? I might see if dltang would be into doing this if the weather is nice. A definite possibilty as she was suggesting all types of short motorcycle trips for this weekend but I'm just too busy.

Just decided it was time to move onto other things.
