I'll ride until the Salt Trucks roll out...
Last year, the bike only had a five-week layup. I hope that it gets even LESS rest, this year!

Global warming or not, here in sunny Alabama (and currently very dry) I have 2 or 3 weekends a year that are too cold and wet to ryde. Of course we have a few days in August where it's just not worth it.

The Spyder IS my winter bike, this year. Normally I ride my two wheeler, but my wife gets nervous about snow and ice, so this year the Spyder is it.

I rode sleds for well over 40 years.
I remember each of my sleds with great fondness (well; maybe NOT the Jag 2000! )
At this point in my life: I like warmer weather MUCH more!

Still riding here in Michigan. Was in the mid 50s this morning and supposed to be decent this weekend. I ride until the salt trucks start hitting the roads and don't pull it out in the Spring until we have had at least one good rain to wash all that salt off the road. Going to be picking up a used Harley next year and just might be selling the STS. I know, I know....but I want to go back to two wheels...maybe I will be back once I can't hold a two wheeler up anymore.

Default When to put her up....

Tough with the weather these days. Well really it was always this way When I did live in the cold weather areas I pretty much kept my ride on the ready so if a warm spell came about I could roll on out for a ride. I don't know if I would do the same with the spyder so will agree with the salt arrival ...

I put seafoam in mine 2 weekends ago ... thinking it might be the last. Not so much ... filled up again a couple of days ago and have a ride planned for this weekend. It is still supposed to be in the 60's ... so I am good for now. If it gets any colder I am done ... wimpy

Mine are parked and hooked up to the tender. My view outside, three inches of snow on the ground. The two miles of country road before the highway--ice covered and to treacherous for me.

Only 147 days until March 31. Riding will commence give or take a couple weeks from then.

Keep those pictures, ride reports, and posts coming in. That is the only fix I get.

    And thanks, in advance.

Yes, and sometimes even give a part or two a polish. However, it is just not the same as a real ride.

After 15 years, I have learned to take the good with the not so good. I get to live and ride in a State where many desire to visit on their bucket lists. Life is good.

If you have deep pockets, you could always mod your Spyder to be used in the snow..

I rode yesterday also, temp was perfect. Mine has its own garage and is always facing the door, ready to go. Last year, I was riding the day before Christmas, the temp. was in the 70's. in Vermont. Who knows what this winter will bring.

Damn.....in the '70's. Sure don't get that temperature here. I also was out on the 24th last year. It was snowing, but not sticking on the road. Temp was around 32 - 34. A little cool, but hey, my first year in this area. Back home the temp was minus 20 with a couple of feet of snow. This felt like the banana belt.
