BIG COMPLIMENT
My son-in-law is the assist. Mgr. at the Black Oak Casino near Sonora, CA. He remarked how polite and well mannered the Spyder riders were at the get together, last month. Just thought I'd share this with you.

I've been riding a Spyder for 3 1/2 years and have been to quite a few Spyder gatherings. I have to agree with your son-in-law that we (Spyder riders collectively) are a polite and well mannered group. That's what makes going to Spyder events so enjoyable. I'm proud to say I belong to this group.

Speaking of BMW's...
Back in 1978 I went to a dealer that sold both Kawasaki and BMW's. Had previously owned Kawi, but never BMW.
I was in the market for a 650 in those days. Would have been my biggest to date. My choices were Kawi four cylinder 650 and BMW two cylinder 650.
I test drove both. As I was riding the BMW I noted I did not like the riding position or the feel of the ride. I kept hearing this voice in the back of my head and seeing this gestapo type guy telling me..."Ve Haf Vays of Making You Ride." Is this why some BMWophiles seem to have that "stuffy" attitude.
The Kawi won hands down. I jazzed it up with an LTD seat, Vetter Windjammer Fairing, a back rest, and Vetter saddle bags. I had about $3,600 into it--big money for a bike back then. That one was a real beauty.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)
MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles
IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.
