Can't get the $#%$ trailer hitch ball off the sypder
Need to remove the trailer hitch ball from the BRP hitch. I can't get it off. I about gave myself a hernia trying to wrench it off . Is there any special trick?

wear a weight lifters belt { hahahaha sorry , but I have had too use a very large crescent adjustable wrench and a rubber mallet , just too pop these loose , it is the lock split washer on bottom that is the holder of this deal } remember , turn head and cough , too check that hernia

you need leverage Long pipe or wrench. Impact gun could possibly help too if on hand..
believe its 36 mm or at least mine is..

True....I guess I will need to look for a longer pip to put over the wrench....

If it was installed per the instructions, then red Loctite was used on it. Good luck with.
PS. And torqued to 160 ft-lbs.

Soak it over night with penetrating oil, smack the nut a half a dozen times on each side with a hammer, and of course a cheater bar. If none of that works, heat it up...it'll come off

I used my 1/2" air impact and it came right of, but if that didn't work I would have used 1" black water pipe over the breaker bar handle. At lease twice I have had to used a 5' long pipe to get a nut off

Yep... I had to use a torch to heat it up. Apply heat to the nut as it is red locktited....

I showed my bro, Stony Rodent, this thread because he was gonna remove my hitch ball this week. I was afraid it was gonna be a bear to do. Then he shows up in the kitchen this morning with the ball. He wedged a pry-bar underneath so the nut couldn't turn and turned the ball with a 2-ft crescent wrench. Easy peasy!
