not enough room for comments. Don't sell tickets for a 50/50 and then change it to a 50/25/25. Provide ride maps in packets. The ride table volunteer would not give a map unless I was actaully signed up for a ride! Seminars as Garmin, tupperware removal, etc... would be nice

Really enjoyed the Rally and you guys did an excellent job of keeping things running smoothly. The Hilton was a great location. We stayed there, so hopefully it work for the people who didn't stay there. I agree with bmwlarry that it would be nice to have some self guide maps to some of the local and national parks in the area. Not everyone want's to ride with a large and/or organized group. Also would have liked to have more meet and greet functions, would have been nice to meet some of the people on this list. One idea would be a breakfast get together, since you have to pay for Breakfast at the hotel, (wasn't impressed with their breakfast and the cost of it since even the cheaper hotels have a free breakfast). Have to say that i thought the Banquet was excellent tho.
You might also set up a bike washing station would have been nice to wash my Spyder after the long trip down.
Since have already been to this area i'm not sure that i would want to see the same area again. There is other great place to see in the Western United States.

There were three signs located at the table that stated that it was a 50/50 split pot with two winners. I am sorry if this was unclear. We will make the signage more clear for next year. We thought it would be fun to have two winners. Each winner won nearly $400 each, so it was still a great payout!

This was not the way it was supposed to be. Those maps were supposed to be for everyone. I will speak with my volunteers that were running that table and make that clear to them. I'm sorry that they gave you trouble.

I might have someone that could help with that! It's always been tricky arranging a tech to do these. I will see what I can do.

Nice venue, but I would agree that there so many beautiful places in this part of the country that another venue might be a good idea. Wonderful riding in CA, OR, etc. It's all good!

The maps there were supposed to be for everyone to take if they wanted them. I'm sorry that my volunteers didn't understand that.

As for another location, the plan was always to rotate venues. This is the fourth venue and third location since 2011. We are working on it, but it's a daunting task for me as I still work full time. We will get a good rotation going eventually. Patience!

As for the breakfast, that has already been addressed and the Hilton and I are going to have something next year.

And there was supposed to be a washing station, but the Hilton didn't deliver. I will work on that toops.

    Thanks for the feedback!

You cannot have exhausted all the places to see in Southern Ut in 2 days of riding. Did you see Parowan Gap?,Pioneer State Park? How much time did you spend in Cedar Breaks,Bryce, Zion's? Cedar City and the Shakespeare Festival? Tuachan? Santa Clara? Pipe Springs? Kanab? Did you find the old Gunsmoke set? Fisher Towers,Boulder Mountain,Calf Creek Falls,Fremont Indian State Park?Kolob Canyon?Kolob Reservoir? Did you eat at Sonny Boy's,Cowboy Cafe,Ray's Tavern, Burr Trail Grill? And so much more. I have lived in Utah since 1964 and ridden to many of these places almost every year and I still see new stuff and get excited to see familiar things, like seeing old friends. I think having more maps available to all and the opportunity to do more independent rides would be great additions to Red Rock. I would also like to see more of the travel brochure from the CC in St.George in the check in packets. There is a great walking tour of St.George that can also be taken easily on the Spyder. There is a simular one of Cedar City. There is also Pine Valley, and Mountain Meadows.Pioche Nev just up the road is a great old mining town. Alsi Leeds and Silver Reef just up the road from Cedar City. Please don't give up on Southern Ut and Red Rock Spyder Rally just cause we had one rally there. The most successful rallies have been in their locations for 20 to 70 years and there are people who have been going to them for many of those years. Come back next year, you'll enjoy it just as much as this year and even more because you will know more about the area.

Spydergirl thank you for all the work and we got a year to iron out any glitches.

    Happy TRAils/NSD

I am not from Utah as Pegasus is, but I wholeheartedly agree about new and different things to see and do in Utah. I didn't realize there was as much as he mentioned, but I do know that I only got to a fraction of the sites and sounds and eats that there must be in beautiful southern Utah. I especially agree with the part about how good a job Spydergirl and her crew did on this rally. I made a few suggestions in my survey, but I would definitely go again even if nothing was improved upon.

I'm saving his entry as the beginning of my "to do" list for next year.

Ah.... but there WILL be improvements and I HAVE been reading the feedback and making notes. A lot of the stuff we were already working on. I've got some really exciting stuff coming down the pipeline. So stay tuned!!!!!

Thank you for this list!! Many of these I didn't know about. But you are dead right.... there is WAY more stuff to see in Southern Utah that could been seen in even 2 weeks... let alone 2 days! I am very excited about this location and I think once we iron out the kinks (THIS WAS THE FIRST YEAR IN UTAH), we'll have a great thing going. I'm already working with the convention center next door to get the north parking lot behind the Hilton for vendors and Spyder parking. I absolutely HATED the vendor layout this year... but heck, I wasn't expecting that many vendors!! So here we GROW AGAIN!!

We did have maps available for seven different area rides, four of which had escorted groups. The maps are still up on the website as well as GPX downloads for most of them.

    - GRAND CANYON NORTH RIM
    - CEDAR BREAKS NATIONAL MONUMENT
    - ZION NATIONAL PARK
    - VALLEY OF FIRE STATE PARK
    - MESQUITE/VIRGIN RIVER GORGE
    - SNOW CANYON/VEYO PIES
    - ANTELOPE CANYON

As for the breakfast, I am working with the Hilton to have breakfast included. It would be served out of the ballroom area where the indoor vendors and check-in was located. That is the only way to accommodate everyone. It would be a continental style breakfast.

As for the bike washing station.... there was supposed to be one. The hotel forgot about it and I guess I forgot to ask again about it. They also forgot the trashcans in the vendor area. Stuff happens!! I'm thinking next year we might have a local youth group come out and wash Spyders and maybe raise some money for their organization.

And you need to come back to Southern Utah.... there is no possible way you've seen it all!!!
