In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice ... in practice, however, that's just a theory.

Only two.
In Febuary of 2013 purchased a PW 2013 STL for Kathy as I still had my Harley, and she put on 6,900 miles on it.
In October of 2013 sold the Harley and traded the STL off for the PW 2014 RTL with matching RT 622 trailer that we share driving and riding. We only have 46,000 miles on it, but in 18 months when we both retire - watch out

I dunno that 'how many Spyders' conveys much more than a mild loyalty to the brand to me, so I'm way more interested in 'How many miles have you put on any one Spyder?'
That, at least to me, implies a degree of solidarity & commitment to Spyders (or maybe just to A Spyder) & ryding far more than any numbered string of (relatively?) low mileage vehicles would; as well as displaying a degree of health, continuing physical durability, & a personal commitment to enjoying life that far outshines the repeated flitting from one to the next to the next as the seasons &/or colour preferences change or a new model hits the streets...... I reckon if you haven't had it more'n a year & put at least 20K on it, you didn't really OWN it, rather just had a fling!
But then, I've only ever owned the one 2013 RT Ltd Spyder, & so far have only managed to cover just under 30,000 miles on it, altho I've done quite a few more miles (millions probably) in/on other vehicles, bikes, & Spyders, & plan on doing a whole bunch more on this one - so maybe my perspective is just a tad skewed! Then again, what is really skewed about it?? I also had lotsa 'girlfriends' & even a few 'flings' before I met & fell in love with my 'then-to-be' future Wife; & now, with 4 surviving Kids, 4 Grandkids (so far - 2 of the Kids are yet to commit to parenthood), & a whole lot of 'Living Life to the Fullest' behind us, we've been married for 36 on the whole wonderful years with (hopefully) quite a few more of them to come!
(Altho.... while I've always said & believe that marrying the 'Child Bride' was what's kept me young & young at heart, sometimes these days I wonder if mehbe it's just worn me out prematurely, trying so hard to keep up?!? .......
)
