    Default Oil

Just wondering if any other 1330 owners have experienced any oil blowing out of dipstick area and dripping on top frame right under dipstick on 2016 F3 Limited?

can you tell us more ? has there been oil added , before you noticed this ? or oil change , and the mechanic might over filled ? or maybe the oil cap filler , has no -o- ring and it is blowing by the cap ?

Sounds like an overfill or a non-seated dipstick. My 2014, has not burned or leaked a drop of oil in 22,000 miles.

Thanks for the replies. First service by dealer and checked oil level after 1K looked good. Notice some leakage while on ride, cleaned it up and went another 2K then noticed leakage again same place. Dipstick o-ring (green) is in place. Got the filler tube and dipstick cleaned and plan on riding a couple hundred miles today. Will see if it happens again.

BTW, been reading about the belt vibrations problem and did have some vibration in mine as well up until about 7K miles then it went away... get a little vibration right after increasing RPM then it smooths out!

    Default Little checking..

When you check the cap is it still in place pressed all the way down..? crank case has to breath the only other thing if oil level is correct is the vent is blocked and it blowing out the dip stick... normally vents to the air box

Waiting to hear more. The 1330 engines do not vent through the air box like the v twin. I will guess there is too much oil in the crank case. Been there done that.

I'd double-check, to make sure that it's fully seated.

    Default Oil change by dealer

I just had my 3000 mile service. I took the information that the oil change should be about 5.5 quarts. They said they put in 5 and let it run 15 minutes and it took the full 6th quart. I checked the dip stick when I got home and after it cooled and it was to the max line. Could I be overfilled?

BRP changed the fill amount to 4.7 quarts I believe. If you put in 6, you definitely have way too much oil in it.

Edit: Actually it depends on which transmission you have. See the table below, thoughtfully provided by Mr. Denman, for the correct amounts.

Took a couple of rides and was still leaking. Took to dealer yesterday and the dipstick was replaced, so far no leakage. The original one looked out of round.
