    How about the handlebars??
Alternately: could you hook it behind you, to the passenger grab-rails?

Does anyone have a picture of the configuration under the seat on their can-am? It would help us determine a good location for the tether. Thank you!

How about the useless helmet lock, that's under the left-hand side of the seat?

Also, since there is a lot of member interest for airbag protection, I created a discount code you can use at helitemoto.com. Enter code SPYDER at checkout.

    Thanks for sharing!

Nichole, First I want to thank you creating a discount code for us. Next a question. If the airbag is inflated can it be reused? Or do you need to buy a new vest/ jacket?
    Thanks Jeff

The biggest problem I see is forgetting to disconnect the tether and accidentally setting it off.

If were are talking about the same thing the "lock" is just a 1/2 plastic arm. Will that be sturdy enough and long enough to handle the tether?

I have a Hit Air jacket and tethered it to the handlebar. You might also find a location under the seat.

    Hi Jeff,

The vests and jackets can be used over and over again. You can reset the system yourself in about 5 minutes with a new CO2 cartridge for $25.

It takes 60lbs. to pull the tether so even if you forget to unclip it is extremely difficult to activate accidently.

We don't recommend installing the tether at the handlebar because of the length of time it would take for the tether to trigger in an accident when the rider high-sides over the front of the bike.

When is a pill worth a $100? --- when it works!
It amazes me how some riders don't mind paying tens of thousands of dollars to get the ride they want, but to spend a few hundred dollars on some equipment that can save their life, or pain and suffering to their love ones, they find it, to stiff!

Glad this rider is not one of those! Glad he put his pride and coolness to the side and wore this equipment! now everyone sees how smart he is!
Don't get upset with me! just expressing my opinion!
    Have a blessed evening!

Shouldn't the company come out with the proper location for the tether. I spent 600+ dollars that wont be worth anything if it is not usable on a Spyder. Sorry to wine but I have 30 days to return it if there isn't a solution for where to tie up.

Sorry... there are a lot of bikes out there. Also, we have sold many to Spyder riders and no one has ever called with an issue mounting the tether. If you could please take a picture under the seat it would help us out a lot to find tether placement for you.

Does your Spyder have this bar under the seat?

    Default Tether

Hook to the seat strut. Dismount, open seat, disconnect. I'm liking this thing!!
i missed it the first time - must have been riding. Thanks for the repost. If it saves just one of my friends, it is totally worth it. Jack, buy two! I don't worry about you or your riding; it is the rest of the population down there!!! Stay safe. You don't heal like you used to....me either!
