Default Which are best brake pads for the RT

Saw the discussion about when to change pads and mostly it seems to be before they need to be changed and that mileage, as they say, 'can vary.' My question is which pads are superior to Can AM factory pads. Brembo was a name mentioned but didn't actually comment on the pads per se. So, which are better (or the best) pad for brakes for the Spyder RT. I brake hard. Especially for critters. I've had mine checked last at 18K miles and the tech said, they're about half gone... that's good I suppose but I'm skeptical so I'm going to change them out 'before their time.' With moto maintenance and safety, I'm definitely not miserly.

    Default BEST BRAKE PADS

There aren't many choices, however EBC ( a quality manufacturer ) makes excellent Pads that fit Spyders..... annnnnd BajaRon ( a vendor here ) sells them at very good prices........His rotors are excellent also..........Mike

    Default EBC!

I've put EBC pads on my Ridgeline and my wife's first and second MINI Coopers, and my new EBC rotors and pads for my RT just came in today. Great stopping power is in store!
BajaRon has the best prices around, and I looked hard for a better deal, but Ron beat them all. He delivers fast, too.

It is critical that the bed-in procedure be done strictly according to the instructions. If you park before the rotors are cool, material will transfer in a big pad-print, and your brakes will feel like you have warped rotors. I made that mistake on my previous set on my Ridgeline. It went away when I replaced the pads; I just put up with it until it was time to change them.

My autos have EBC Greenstuff pads, which are pretty dusty. Brake life is slightly less than the hard OEM pads because they wear a bit faster, but everything is a trade-off, and I'll take great stopping power over long-lasting brake pads any day of the week.

There are several types of EBC compounds available. Anyone can give a first hand review of how they compare in use on a Spyder? Compared to the Brembo pads? Life? Dust? Noise? Feel?

EBC sells 3 pad sets for the Spyder. And these are the only upgrade brake pads I have been able to find for the Spyder.

Organic (Least expensive and comparable to the OEM pads)

Semi-Sintered ( More expensive and an upgrade from Organic in stopping power and longevity)

Fully Sintered (Most expensive. Best stopping, lowest fade factor and longest lasting of the 3)

I only carry the Fully Sintered. Everyone seems to want the best product they can get and the price isn't all that much more. I didn't sell very many of the Semi-Sintered and I never carried the Organic. If you want either of the other 2 pad types, they are readily available elsewhere.
