    Default JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY

What is the average time that your Spyder spends at the dealer when you are having regular maintenance and warranty work done at the same time? I realize that some warranty items take longer to fix because of waiting for BRP approval, the nature of the work that needs to be done, and the the interminable wait for parts, but I thought it would be interesting if folks weighed in and shared their experiences. As an example, last year when we had an extended riding season here in the Northeast - which I missed - my Spyder was in the shop for 56 days for warranty work, the first 2 weeks of which was getting approval from BRP. Has anyone else had a similar experience? And, just to pour gas on the fire, has anyone had a car or other brand of motorcycle in the shop for such a long period of time? Inquiring minds want to know.

Never had the Spyder in longer then 1/2 a day, but I am in Quebec so I am sure getting the parts are much easier. 2 mths seems like a long time, anxious to see what others say.

    Default I'm out....

My warranty ran out a long time ago (I don't buy extended warranties) I supply my own parts and do my own work. The few times I did go to the dealer I waited and left within a few hours. I do always make appointments and tell them that I have to wait there. Now I do hear horror stories on how long things go on....

Always: In and out on the same day, or drop off at closing time, (get loaner), and pick up next afternoon. Central FL PowerSports rocks!

Mine was in for 8 days in September of 2013 for the first 2013 RT recall at a dealership where I no longer go; for just over a week in 2014 at a dealership 100 miles from home, when it broke down on the road; and at my dealership of choice, overnight was the longest period - and that included the really big (scoops, et al) 2013 RT recall in 2015. The rest of the time, I make an appointment, ride to the dealership, and wait for it - same day. I'm usually in an out in less than 2 hours.

Three or four days. I usually schedule the work to be done when I'm not going to be home for a few days. The dealer comes and picks it up the day before I leave town for whatever reason, and brings it back the day after I return. How much time they actually spent on it, I don't know!
