    Default Oil tube leak!!

Just picked up an new 2015 f3 7 weeks ago or so and when I did the first service I noticed oil leaking out the top of the dip stick tube! So I did the service and made sure I put the dip stick back in right after inspecting the seal. 3000 miles later and oil is back on the outside of the tube. The shop is over 120 miles away and I don't want to loos the rest of the summer rides. So long story short has anyone seen this?

If oil is coming out of the top of the tube. IMO There is too much oil. It has to go somewhere. Check your air filter also. Sometimes it ends up there as well. Tom

    Default Not sure...

exactly whats going on...if you are leaking from the dip stick location I would check the o ring. I have seen many remove the o ring to measure the level easier and forget to replace it. Overfilling can be an issue though you would have oil coming from other places as well.

Sounds like too much oil. Not only will it leak. It will also reduce power and decrease fuel mileage.

Oil level is where it needs to be. Looks like time to take it back to the shop..

I agree with too much oil. I extracted 4 1/2 quarts of extra oil out of mine. Now it runs great and no more oil coming out when I turn left or take off fast. These dip sticks in the 1330 engines are hard to read if ove filled. I ended up putting tape on mine above the gray part on the dip stick as found out that way of my oil problem.
