if you ride 2 up, it doesn't look like much room for the passenger.

I'm having trouble getting the accessories shopping pages to open. Do you know how much it costs? I'll bet it's at least $900!

My guess for the trunk is $1200... Tom

When you look @the MSRP , you might come to the same conclusion. There's more passenger room on the RT.

Holy Mackerel Andy, prices start at $29,849 for the F3L! I do like the looks but like the "Lady from Kansas" says, might as well buy a RT.

Why? The RT-S and F3-TL are similarly equipped at similar price points. Buy the one you like better.
For most that ride both before choosing, the F3 comes out the winner. I suspect the new F3TL with passenger arm rests installed will actually be MORE comfortable for the passenger than the RT. The driver is already more comfortable on the F3.

The question seems to concern the passenger's accommodations...
If they're important to you: buy the RT
If not: then this looks like a run ride!

I don't understand all of the speculation about passenger comfort ... no one knows until the passenger gets aboard the ship. Obviously there is some passenger comfort currently ... I see a lot of F3's in pictures with the passenger backrest which would lead me to think they carry a passenger. My daughter doesn't complain about being a passenger on my F3.

it all depends on the size of the driver and passenger. i am a big guy, and tend to have a full figured lady on the back of my rt if i give a ride. so it wouldn't work for me

It's undeniable that a larger passenger area with a wider seat; will be more comfortable for the "second chair".
With their current configurations: the RT offers much more comfort for the passenger.

!
Not if you are 6'7", Prairie........This would give you the best of both worlds on the F3, especially if it is only a 10 minute on/off.

Not if I'm sitting in the front seat of the RT, Bob......it's all relative.....if I bought an RT, I would have to have the seat modified to move me back 3" so I can access the brake.....not much room then for the passenger. HOWEVER, if I have the controls in position 5 on the F3L, I do NOT have to have the seat moved back, and there is plenty of room for the passenger. My wife fits comfortably on the back of the F3, and that has not happened on ANY of my previous two wheeled tourers.
That's why I fully agree with the earlier "horses for courses" comment by al0vely.

I ride alone most of the time and I will stick with my RTL. It is a great looking bike, but for the price and all the adds I have done I will not be changing.
