    Default Side compartments stuck - Please help!

    Hello! I recently purchased a 2014 RT S and cannot seem to get the side compartments to open. Any thoughts or suggestions??

    I am guessing you pulled on the rear levers??

    They are on cables if you did pull the levers you could remove some of the rear Tupperware to gain access to the cables.

    While pulling on the lever tap the side cover and they usually pop open.

    Try pushing against or putting a little inward pressure on it while you pull the release latch.

    Yes I pulled on the two rear levers on the trunk and feel zero resistance to pop a latch for the compartments.

    Sounds like both cables are either disconnected at the levers in the back or at the side compartments. I bet the other owner was doing some repairs and forgot to hook them back up. Nice looking bike and

    Since I'm new to the Spyder (had a Harley for several years), how can I access the cables?

    @Ex-Rocket....Thank you!!!!

    I have the same problem. You probably need to push on the corresponding saddle door while pulling the lever to open it. Mine will open up at that point.

    Open the rear top trunk and start removing the screws for the Tupperware. The cables will be were the top truck latch is located or just below that area.

    I would try to tap/push the side cover while pulling the latch first

    You WILL feel zero resistance for some distance of travel. Then once you feel resistance, give it a good solid pull.

    If a push on the front of the side compartments while pulling the lever does not open it then open the trunk and with a flashlight look down each hole to see if the cable is connected. You can see it move as you pull the lever.

    My left saddle bag will only open if I pull the lever then give a bump as if to close it with my hand.

    I also had some issues with my 2014 RT-S. I had the dealer adjust the cables and no problems since. I am not mechanically inclined.

    I too have that on one side, I should fix it, but I just whack it and it opens.
