You can fold it over or pull it out without tools.

I've been wanting to get a driver's backrest so when this post came up I jumped on the great deal. This backrest is very easy to install and remove to for two up riding. I spent 5+ hours in the saddle Saturday with this backrest and I've got to say, it's awesome. Very very comfortable. Love it.

My wish is for a bright spark - lamonster? - to make an extra bracket for the pillion seat/rear frame so that I can pull off the drivers backrest and pop it into the pillion bracket, for those odd occasions when two up. Feasible ??

Backrest looks very nice.

Although, I bought mine from Ultimate Seats (same backrest without the logo). It's a great backrest and a very easy install. It may cost a few bucks more, but well worth the money.

There's no cutting and it's bolted to the frame so it's very secure.

The Driver backrest is great if you have ever had back problems plus you can feel more relaxed on a long ride.
