Default IS your BUTT SORE ????

I have been making full custom seats on
stock seat pans since 1967 we do it every day
BUT you can improve your stock seat by about
a zillion % by installing one of my custom made
seat Gel kits with memory foam and save many
hundreds of $$$$$$$$ You do it your self.

There are a bunch of Spyder Riders right here
who have done it and love it,
The Gel kit is only $79.95 ... you don't have to
wait 2 or 3 weeks you can do it in about 2 hours.
Call me any time to get yours and save money
and a big plus... you get to say I did it myself!

Will your gel kit work with a heated comfort seat? I'm sorry if this is already common knowledge.

I installed the gel seat and love it.
Easy to install You just need to get the nerve
    to tear the seat apart.

Another vote for Dave's gel seat pad. It turned a 2 hour seat into an all day seat for me. I had never done this type of work before but following Dave's instructions I made it thru and the seat looks like stock until you sit on it. Then heaven. You will need a power stapler to pull this off yourself. I bought one for $30 bucks but you may be able to rent or borrow one.

Dave, I thought I saw your gel kit somewhere where it had a cutout for the tailbone?
That is the part that aches for me after a few hours - and when travelling for days accumulates into a very sore spot.
Will the gel kit help with that?
Also, If I am only doing the gel on the rider section, can I add your Moto heat to the passenger section or will that require a cutout?
Lastly, your website mentions "Some of the newer seats on RT models use hog rings and not Velcro". Is that something that will complicate the process of reinstalling the cover? Will I need any special tool for that?

    Many thanks

BTW - I have a 2016 RT Limited (with your BT option)

Having been one of those with hog rings instead of Velcro to hold the back of the cover into the rear to keep that wrinkle free, I can say no it isn't a problem, you just can't pull it free like velcro. You do have to remove the hog rings which any pair of pliers will do. I did not replace the hog rings, I could not get them around the iron rod buried in the seat that they attach to. I had some rebar tie wire and used that, pulling it tight and twisting to keep it that way then used wire cutters to cut off the excess.

I would love to but that is over 2000 miles away and it hard to pack all that
    stuff on a plane.

You did, I have done several like that, if you have a broken tail bone this is the only help
I know of you will see pictures of it on my website in the photos section.
You can install the heaters on front and back without any cutting of the foam, If installing
Gel and a heater you just put the heater pad on top of the Gel.
Hog rings and the pliers are at Harbor Freight maybe $5.00 you will need a power stapler
Ace Hwd, Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's have elect. and air type also good for putting up
Christmas Lights. Harbor Freight has air type for about $20

That's great news, thanks for the fast reply. Will the gel insert also work for the passenger part of the seat?

    Default Yes

It will work in both places Zi have them made
large so they will fit 99.9% of motorcycle seats
if it's to large just cut it to size with sizzers
