Default Ok, you guys have been right on so far, now new problem putting my hitch on my 2012

So I got the hitch on,, thanks for the help, only thing I did was having to jack back up to spin tire backwards to put the belt on after I got the axle in, took it for a test ride, rode fine out of driveway then went to limp mode with abs, vss codes. What could I have done to cause this? And how can I correct it? Thanks for the help

It's too bad you purchased a hitch that required the removal of the axle to install. But too late now that you already installed it.

You have done something with the rear wheel sensor. Possibly damaged the wire. By letting the brake caliper hang or the swing arm hang. If you removes the sensor from the brake caliper bracket. Maybe put it back together with the wrong amount of shims.

First step is to inspect the sensor and see if there is anything visibly wrong. Then check the gap between the sensor and the reluctor ring.

Never worry about a screw up that doesn't kill you. Just realize that you are smarter today than you were yesterday and thank GOD for SL's genus.

Glad to hear that it's all been "figgerd-out".

I did not know they sold that hitch anymore.

For anyone else reading this thread interested in a hitch. I think this is a better choice. For $20 more and you do not need to remove the axle to install or remove the hitch.
