How did you get them to fit? I tried to get those same Viking bags to work on my 2015 f3s but couldn't figure out how to mount them and still have the clearance to get them to open. More pics please!
The grab handles have to go. I decided to mount them kinda parallel to the passengers part of the seat and that allowed the the bags to open over onto the seat.
If I removed the grab rails my wife would flip out on me. I thought about ordering Lamonsters' grab rails and trying to make that work but decided to regretfully return the Viking bags. They sure do look good on your f3, thanks for the additional pics.

I've seen hard bags that open away from the bike. I think they might work for you.

Hey Beachbum,
Here is what I did with Viking bags Ultimate Saddlebag and a set of "Easy Brackets" from "Fingereze" on Ebay. I mounted them with the bottom of the bags at 21" off of the ground and the bags open fine, the top flexes a little against the hand grip but pops right back into place when it is shut.
Those Ultimate Saddlebags look good too. I sent my Vikings back and ordered Leatherworks #120 with a key lock. Spent a bit more than I planned on but like the soft bags with the straps and "D" rings on the top. I also thought about trying the Viking Lamellar Slanted Leather bags but didn't want to keep returning bags to Viking. Thanks for all of the input. I will be posting pics of my f3s when I get done bolting all the extras on.

Those look really good. The website says they come with the mounting hardware (brackets)...!?! Did yours come with the hardware?

AND, by the way, this will not happen on auto pilot. It's time for a YOU-turn!!!

Viking bags all come with a universal mounting bracket but it's not a quick on off one. You have to drill the bags yourself and then bolt them on through the bags.
Hello All:
I recently purchased a set of Mutazu bags. I like these because they are side opening and large enough for a full face helmet. They also have tail lights I wired as brake lights/turn signals. The bags came with a bevy of brackets and fasteners that made mounting fairly easy. Price was right and I think they look pretty good.
Safe riding...
