New (to me) toy!
Well, I love my 2014 RT for those times when I take long trips. It is also nice because the wife will ride with me and it gives us something else to do together now that the kids have left home. But, the hooligan in me wanted something that I could turn up the wick a little bit more in the curves and when riding alone. My thought was to go for a F3T, thinking that it would fit the bill (and still allow the wife to ride). After researching things a little, it seems that I could pick up another 2 wheeler for about the same amount of money that I would have to pay in difference between my RT and a F3T. Since I still have over 2 years of warranty left on my RT, and a new F3T only comes with 2 years (unless I buy more), the wheels in my head started turning. What could I get that had the power of, and riding position (that I love) of the F3 or F3T? The obvious and familiar choice was a Suzuki M109R. I have owned 2 (06 & 07), and loved the bikes. After a little searching, I came across a pure barn find of an 08 with less than 5400 miles. The bike is pretty much untouched with the exception of a sissy bar, luggage rack, and huge nelson and riggs bag. I plan on it being a solo machine, so I will be selling the extras. Once I get it cleaned up, I will be posting pictures. I know this is a spyder site and not a M109 site; but I am excited.
Pictures to follow.

Hey...!!
We all came from somewhere....I once started a thread " What was your ride before your ryder" they were almost all sweet two wheelers. Many here still hold on to both. We love seeing your other rides..so get to cleaning

Well, here is my 2 wheeled version of a F3. I decided to keep the RT for the wife and I to ride, and now I have this for when I want to explore by my self.

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......
but our benefits don't?

Saw the pictures you posted below. Nice ride.
I think you made the right decision for you. You're going to have a blast on that thing. Ride hard and be safe.
As far as this being a Spyder forum, I talk about sleds on here so I think you're good. And you did post it in the "Off Topic Board", that unfortunately, the meaning of which escapes a lot of people.

Nothing wrong with having a two wheeler (or three) in the stable. I loved and miss my Vulcan. Had to give it up because of the bad hip and traded on a brand new 2011 (in 2012) for Linda. She is happy, I am a little sad, but have learned to live with it.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)
MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles
IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.
