I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT USING A SMOKER.

we are going to smoke ribs in a electric smoker.
225 degrees,, for 3 hrs, then they get spiced up and wrapped in tin foil,
for another 3 more hrs. This is all according to the admiral.
how often do I put chips in and how do I know when to refill them.
any tips would be greatly appreciated

I don't have one but...................I've seen it done 10,000 + times and the smoking ( chips ) is done BEFORE you wrap it. !!! ....Because once it's wrapped - it's pretty much sealed......you seal it , to keep the moisture in ..................................jmho...... .......Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd my in my house smells ....Mike

Google the 3-2-1 method. This is what I do in my Masterbuilt smoker. On the second step I use apple juice in a spray bottle instead of the vinegar.
