I have the FBB. I think the reason I chose those is because the floorboard mount seems a bit more stable than the other. I may be wrong, but what can I say. Installation is fairly simple, you just have to remove the rubber mat on the floorboards and drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the floorboards. Some people here are squeamish about drilling holes for some reason.
I'm sure you'll get a lot of varying opinions on this topic. Good luck with your decision.

We really can't tell you which one might be better; It's your money, and your decision!
For the record: I put Baker Builts on my RT!
Why? I'm not sure...
I was looking at their belt tensioners, and a funny thing happened...
I went with the NBV. From the looks of the videos, they stick out less than the FBB. I have mine adjusted to be just above the plastic air diverters, which would have been the natural place to put my feet. (For me, at least)

If you have a manual transmission, like I do, you have to go with the NBV ones. They do the job and fairly easy to install. Good luck!

I bought the FBV initially because they looked (and were) straightforward to install. However, they require that you really spread your feet far apart when using them.
SO, I bought the NBV and sold the FBV (to Bob I believe) and like them MUCH better. Installation was not as easy but not bad, and they sit much closer to the sides of the bike.

I have the Lamonster NBV because they are closer to the body of my RTS, but at only 5'9", all they do is allow me to move my feet up and a little forward. You will not stretch out if that is your goal. It does at least allow you to change your foot position and I have gotten pretty imaginative on how I place my feet on the pegs.

Pam
Pam, I don't know how tall you are but didn't the FBB pegs just spread your legs to far out? Is it comfortable in that position for a long time? I have been kicking it around as to which ones to buy, since I'm 6'2" I need the extra distance to stretch my legs but not sure if I would like to have my legs spread apart that far. Thanks in advance.
the nbv"s intrude into the limited amount of footwell that you DO have.
i would still like to keep that. and that is a good point about neither allowing you
to stretch out. that would mean removing or modifying the deflectors. guess
you cant have both. or can you . cmon you innovators . stretch the possibilities!!

The issue with ALL the highway pegs is you can't sit like you would on a cruiser or touring bike because the Spyder flares out so much in front of the floorboards. Bob's look like they sit right where my NBVs go. Ursamajor had some Baker Built and they were more forward but also flared out to the sides. The sitting position on the Spyder is just different.
With the NBV I can rest my feet on them for short intervals, or stretch out and rest the back of my heels on them.
I think that the F3s allow you to sit with your feet closer together since the body panels that cover the engine on the RT aren't on the F3.

i like to stick my feet as far forward behind the black deflector as i can.
the floor board mt seems to be the closest thing available for that reason.
if i had wanted my feet back i could have gotten a goldwing. my victory
cross roads had huge floorboards and you could really stretch out and
didnt even need pegs. the rt is more like a wing with your feet tucked back.
just looking for option to improve my riding experience and keep strap steel out of
the foot planting area. [no im not trying to grow a crop of feet].
thank you for all your help and opinions. i know you are enjoying your rides your way.
they still have that freedom in America yet. happy 4th wekend to all and ride safe.

I have other brackets that moved my feet further forward. I removed them, and opted for a bit less stretch.
How tall are you Bob? The other brackets, what mfg. are they? I was looking for something to go past the black deflecters so as to not interfer with the floorboard brake away feature. Being 6'2" I just need something so I can stretch my legs.
I'm about as average cab get: 5'10", and a 31" inseam.
Baker offers two different brackets for mounting the pegs, You can hook them together, for a more forward position.
That's how mine came, but I didn't need quite that much "stretch".
If somebody needs my extra brackets: PM me!

I started with the floor board ones and I clamped them on as a mock-up to see how they would work before I mounted them. Realizing that they would spread my legs out to far to be comfortable I worked out a deal to trade them for the NVB. I then made my own foot pegs out of 1/2" round aluminum bar stock drilled and tapped them and covered them with bicycle hand grips. This way I could get the pegs as close to the Spyder panels as possible. I am 5'8" with a 30" inseam. If I need to stretch out my legs I rest my heals on the pegs.

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people...... but our benefits don't?
