gold wing raptor
Anyone ridden the new Goldwing Raptor which is a trike conversion with the two wheels up front. Just curious how it handles compared to a spider

I've owned 3 GW's over the years, each different from each other but all beautiful in their own aspects... this ride is TFU to even consider...
2012 Spyder RT-S SE5 Blue
Can Am: Floorboards, Tri-Axis handlebars, Comfort Seat, Front/Side/Rear cargo travel bags
Vendors: Air Hawk2 seat air cushion, Adjustable Side Window Deflectors, slip-on grip covers, RAM GPS mount & a short RAM socket arm... with a bicycle handlebar bell mounted to it - a carryover from my 2-wheeling days, it was great for getting your ridng buddy's attention when stopped at a traffic light

Is this the one that you're referring to?

While I don't care much for the styling ; I'll admit that it's functionality, is what truly maters!

Here is the Hannigan version. It is for sale as we speak.5623526e-0340-48ff-84e9-50680051a4bd.jpg
Hannigan Motorsports recently unveiled the all-new Hannigan HRT Reverse Trike at the 2015 Wing Ding in Huntsville, Alabama. Unlike conventional trikes, this contemporary machine features two wheels in the front and only one in the rear. The Hannigan HRT is designed to provide an alternative to Gold Wing riders who may be contemplating a switch to the Can-Am Spyder. It will provide a more luxurious ride, with better handling and renowned Gold Wing reliability, at a price well below any reverse trike conversion currently on the market. And since it comes from Hannigan Motorsports, you know that the engineering is second to none.
The styling of the HRT compliments the lines of the GL1800 Gold Wing, resulting in a sleek package that will turn heads wherever the road may take you. Lighter and quicker handling than conventional trikes, this machine combines the unsurpassed comfort and smooth power of a Honda Gold Wing with sporty performance and handling. Rally-goers at the 2015 Wing Ding were among the first to see the amazing Hannigan HRT.

I guess that they keep dropping the snout, in order to provide airflow to the existing cooling system?

Pardon my crudeness but that front looks like a male of the human species clothed in summer shorts exhibiting a certain state of male excitement!

With both, I'm guessing they lack that sophisticated nanny to sense and fight against rollovers.

Yup! That system came from Bosch, and it's the only reason why the Spyders came to market!

Great idea and for sure, as we have all seen it is only a matter of time before, HD an Honda come out with reverse trikes.
But..... this front end is awful, it looks like an after thought.

I'll keep my Spyder, thank you.
Last week, we were out for a cruise and stopped at a hotel for the night. In the lobby was a group of Harley riders. They were asking questions (like most do) about "Charlotte" and they were dumbfounded when they asked how I liked the Harley trike and I told them I hadn't really looked at them when deciding on my Spyder purchase.
14,000 miles and there is lots of ryding left this year!!
