    Default General Altimax RT43

I am thinking about purchasing the General Altimax RT 43 for my 2016 F3T. What size fits the F3T and is this a good choice?

Thank everyone on this forum for your advice. It is really nice for us newbeeeeees!

    Default General Altimax

I can tell you a General Altimax 175/65 R 15 will not fit under the fender of a 14 RT. I just went through this. Mount the tire, remove the tire and send back. I just ordered a 155/60 R 15 Continental ContiProContact. The Continental side wall is 93 mm and the Altimax is 113mm. It should fit I hope. I'll let you know.

If you mean the rear, 215/60/15. That size worked well on our RT.

It works very well on my 2014 RTS and my 2016 F3T as well.

I am running the General Altimax RT43 on my 2014RTS-SE6 on the rear. Tire size that I am running is 215/60 R15.

This is my 2nd riding season with the General Altimax RT43, I have 10, 596 miles, no problems. I still have a lot of thread left. It has a built-in Tire monitoring system "replace tire" is embedded into the tire. I know someone on this site posted a video about the "B
uilt in Tire monitoring system". The spyder handles great. I am running 26 psi.

Several other people on this site are also running the General Altimax RT 43 on there spyders. Yes, it is a tire good choice.

On the front I am running the Continental Contiprocontact, tire size: 165/60R 15 this is also a good tire. No problems with the nanny. The spyder handles great. I am running 19 psi. This is a very quite tire. Deanna

I ran the Altimax for a year, but for me, it wore quickly. I found it to perform very well, but it didn't last all that long. Probably much of that was related to riding conditions. I live in the Southwest where the temperature is high, as are the speeds, and many of the roads are chip sealed. The tire has a soft sidewall and is a relatively soft compound. I have recently switched to a Cooper tire (Made in the USA) with a stiffer sidewall and harder compound. Once I get some more miles I'll post it up as an alternative or not. However, so far, I'm pleased with it.

    I have a 2011 RTS and use Front 175/65/R14 Goodyear viva 2
Rear 215/60 R15 General Ultra Max
speedo matches GPS exactly, the fronts are snug to put on but have zero splash when raining
when ever you have your rear wheel off check your bearings. there are three sets on the rear axel, they are inexpensive peace of mind.
