I have heard this happening. Problem is no one posts these problems with some of these aftermarket products so the next person has the information to purchase or not.

Who did you buy it from? Give them a call and let us know what happens. Chances are they will replace it free but you have to do the labor of installing the replacement led strip.
I am waiting for number two replacement strip.

Doc Riverside was investigating these reports. Why not PM him, and see if he's learned what is causing it?

Not sure if I want to spend 40.00 a year on a new light strip.... Seems the me that LEDs should last more than 20-30 hours

I am curious, do you find the LEDs going dark individually or in small groups?

Not trying to be a Smart *** but lights are affected by many things, Rain, Heat, Abuse etc. The nice thing is that you can remove the lights and still have the protection of the bumpskid.
I have had to replace some LEDs on occasion and do so because i want to be seen when riding.

they are inlaid, but they take a lot of abuse (or at least ours did) in that location. I even ripped the center lower lip of the grooved part of the bumpskid off on a cattle guard (split the LED strip in half while I was at it).
We ended up pulling ours out and decided to go with the cyclops LEDs instead. They've held up better.
We now have His and Hers Spyders!

His Spyder: White 2015 F3 SE6
