    Default Any guesses?

In Maine currently enjoying the good weather and f3 disappoints me again. Had dinner in Brunswick last night and jumped back on to 295 south. While shifting from second to third gear (manual shift), released clutch and heard grinding sound. Coasted off to side of road, shut it down and tried again. Release clutch slowly and it started to engage then immediate grinding again. Shut it down and had it towed back to camper. 12,400 miles on 2015 f3s. Had drive pulley split when on vacation last year and eat the **** out of my belt. Didn't have any clutch issues at all!! Any guesses? It's going back to the dealers on friday.

    Default Well....

I would hazard a guess that perhaps some damage was incurred in the drive system when you had the pulley fail. Maybe the bearing on the drive shaft on along that line....

    Default SPROCKET

    YUP......
common issue with the F3's..... splines get stripped out of the front sprocket, coming off the drive shaft from the tranny... this is a piece of crap part..... it happened to me, and no less than 4 others in my area.... one guy in our group trashed his so bad, that he needed a new transmission...
BRP needs to develop a vendor supplier quality system, and not just close their eyes and go with the low bidder for their parts... for BRP to foot the cost of all these repairs is poor business practices... the repair cost will negate the low cost of these cheap parts and end up costing them more...

now get ready for your alternator to fail as well....

Gradually produces less and less energy... at first, you'll notice a flat spot when starting your F3.... progressively the flat spot gets longer, until one day your battery is DoA because the alternator couldn't put out the energy required to fire the spark-plugs and power the entire electrical system.... doesn't take long for the battery to be drained of it's reserve when 3 spark-plugs are sucking the juice out of it...
just be aware, and keep this in the back of your head, and when you first notice that FLAT-SPOT, head over to your dealer...
    good luck....

Yes, it is! The first time it split in two and ate my belt up. The drive sprocket (pulley if you will) is two pieces pressed together. It happened when the wife and I were in Wisconsin last summer on our cross country trip. Luckily I had the trailer and rv and was able to get it home to nj.
