Default Changed front pads and rotors and brake pedal is soft when riding

I just changed out the front brake pads and rotors on a 14 LTD and when it is just sitting in the garage it is fine, when I start to drive the pedal goes way down and the brake failure light comes on. If I pump the pedal it brakes just fine. Any suggestions?

    Default Fluid level

When doing a pad replacement, the pistons need to be compressed. After install, pump the pedal several times, and check the fluid level. Add fluid if needed. Joe

    Default Little checking..

At this point, not knowing more, you should bleed the brakes. This will get any air in the lines out and keep the pedal from that spongy action. Maybe just flush the whole system and add new fluid seeing as all is new anyway...

Just had this problem after dealer replaced front rotors. Bled front brakes and seemed ok but after short ride the pedal was going all the way down. Pretty freaky when the foot plate broke away. Dealer had to bleed all 3 brakes and master cylinder but now it's all good.
