Front Shock replacement tips...?
It seems pretty straight forward, but does anyone have any tips (in case I'm missing something) for changing the front shocks on a 2010 RT? Hoping to do it this coming weekend.
Thanks,
Rick

Loosen the lugs and then jack it up enough to put a short jack stand under it, you just want to get the wheels a little off the ground. Remove the wheels. Start with the lower bolts and remove the nut and bolt, then move to the top and do the same. You have to wiggle the shock a bit to get it past the a-arm. If you have trouble getting it out you can raise the jack a bit. Install the new shock before moving to the other side.
Be sure to make a mental note of which way is up on the shock before you take them off. We have seen shocks installed upside down.

True, but it does make life easier. It's only 3 lugs nuts, so for me when I did it (2x), it was an easy decision to make the job go quicker and smoother.

Yup, sounds about as easy as I had assumed it to be. I'll probably pull the wheels, if for no other reason, a good cleaning and check-up.

I found getting the shock out and in is easier with the plastic A-Arm cover removed
