2012 RT Reverse noise
My 2012 RT has starting making a "groaning" sound when in reverse. Any comments or suggestions, please.

The brakes seem to be the culprit on my wife’s 2012RT

How did you resolve the problem?

No biggy, just brake squeal. I just ignore it and go forward asap.

Same with mine and I have a brand new dealer installed clutch that was installed under warranty due to stalling out issue. The sound was heard before and after clutch replacement. Guess it is a " normal" noise

If it's not the rear brake; it might be the belt. (As the teeth on it engage the cogs on the sprocket...)
Either way; there's not much that you can do about either (unless the belt alignment is off...), so turn the radio up, and ignore it.

Another vote for brakes. Our 2010 does it too.

My 08 did it and it was the belt. After I loosened the belt using the KrikIt II method, the noise went away.

All of the above...
Just a suggestion that I would do and that is give the rear wheel bearing a quick check. As they wear they get comfortable running in one direction..

Another vote for the brakes on my 2012 RT. It has been doing it on mine since i had it, when i'm backing out of the shed. Mainly after it has sat down a while. I just ignore it and go in first gear and take off. I had my rear bearings and seals replaced when i had my rear rim chromed, earlier this year and it still does it.
