Does ECO Mode do anything besides indicate shift points?
Does being in "Eco Mode" do anything other than indicate when you need to shift? I took it out of Eco mode last night and didn't really notice anything. I did miss the shift indicator, as I tend to use that to determine if I need to shift or what not.
Do most of y'all drive in Eco mode?

I use it most of the time because its an easy shift reminder -- and I don't notice that much difference in performance, notwithstanding what is published

I tried it and found that there was not much noticeable increase in MPG.
Constantly looking for the shift arrow became a dangerous distraction.
Some people have indicated that the ECO mode modifies performance in a way to get better mileage.
On the off chance ECO gets better mileage, I drive in the ECO mode, but don't pay attention to the shift arrow.
I know, sort of a belts and suspenders approach. Probably not the definitive answer you were looking for.

I recently must've held down my Mode button too long and activated Eco Mode without knowing it. Couldn't understand why the stupid computer was telling me to gear up. I also noticed an ever so slightly lethargic performance coming out of full stops. Finally, I saw the Eco Mode icon on my screen and felt great relief! I turned that sucker off and don't plan to use it again.

I agree with you 100%. I found it more distracting looking at when I needed to shift next.

FRUNK BUTTON
What is the real reason for the frunk button. I have a 13 RTL and when I had the recall for the vents put on, I think the shop de-activated it. Is there a way of re-activating the button switch? Thanks, and happy riding!

I agree. This is the method I use as well. Seldom look at the arrow but usually listen to the engine and don't watch the rpm meter at all. I do like the slight gas savings as it adds up after a few fill ups. It may be a little sluggish off the line but still plenty fast for me.

After seeing a lot of posts on SL about ECO mode, I never turned it on when I bought my 2015 RTS. I can figure out when to shift all by myself, and really, does anybody ride these things to save on gas? I ride mine to have fun. Im only getting about 37 mpg, but as hard as I ride Cocaine, I am more than happy with that!

The ECO Mode could (I guess!) be a useful training tool. If you use it when you first get your bike; it'll give you an idea of when to be upshifting for maximum fuel economy.
Once the lesson is learned: turn it off, and forget that it was ever there.

Going from the 998 hi rev engine to the 1330 I used it for a short bit to break the habit of shifting at 5000rpm. 900 miles later it is now off.
