    Default Another Limp Mode today...

Today's happened just like the very first incident. Barely made it out of the parking lot, just as I turn right front a stop sign to enter the main road...it had a DPS Fault...and as I rode down the street, it ran normally and then the logic tree followed and all mesages started scrolling.
I checked the resevoir and both were full. I tapped on it, turned the bike on and off several times and checked all the relays under the trunk and seat, swapped the ones that matched around. Let the bike sit long enough to time out so Ihave to hit the mode switch and no help. Oh Well...I have to go several miles one direction for an entry onto the access road to go the other direction to get home...can't use the freeway in limp. While I am on the access road, I turn the key off and at 45mph...noticed I can accelerate while it's reseting and scrolling through the faults until it hits limp mode. Well, either it senses I has a nice 10 lb sledge hammer waiting at home or just gives in to my persistence and only a DPS fault remains and the nothing else scrolls and limp mode is gone. I ride home and turn the key off for a while try it about 10 minutes later...no problems.
Going to use the code search function the manual gives and report it to the dealer.

Oh man, do I feel your pain! You have to be exasperated beyond belief. I hate to say it, but maybe it is time to look into the Arizona lemon law. If you are covered (motorcycles aren't here in Michigan) I'd press to get my dough back or a new Spyder. Enough is enough, and you have been way more than patient and understanding. So sorry!!!

I saved this from a previous post:

Only active codes will be displayed on the cluster, the engine must either be running with an active code or cranked until a code is set. cycling the ignition switch to the off position will cause the code to become occurred and no code will be displayed on the cluster.

It probably has to be hooked up to BUDS to view stored codes.

Agreed with those above...enough is enough...you shouldn't have to deal with all these issues...

If BRP won't play ball with you, I'd contact the AG of your state and the Dept. of Consumer Protection. They have quiet a bit of teeth and issues BRP licenses and permits to conduct business in that state.

Yes, they faults are gone, I'm out of limp mode...even the DPS Fault was gone when I tested. I followed the manual to check faults w/o BUDS and the screen scrolled that there were no active faults. It's funny that in those same pages it states that the spyder may experience glitches and you can try turning the machine off for a few minutes and if that doesn't work...excercise all connections with the problematic component. The only problem is, it also states that the components trip each other into fault mode when one goes bad. You have to be lucky enough to see the problem happen. Mine seemed to straighten itself out when I played with the switch until only DPS was left...and that cleared itself.
I keep looking for Microsoft Software stickers.
I have to read up on it, but how does one start the Lemmon Law process...is this a self representation thing or a lawyer thing?
My wife is sick of this machine, too. She's tired of all the trips to come get me.
