Default Where do I plug in battery tender to 2011 RT Limited?

I've searched the forum and can't find any information. I am totally unversed in mechanics. I need to get a trickle charge on the battery.

I bought the RT 2011 used a month ago. It has about 2200 miles on it and we're taking a big trip next month. I don't have a shop manual. It seems almost everyone on this forum knows how to hook it up, but I sure don't.

    All help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

You can plug it right into the 12 volt power plug in the top trunk!
On your bike: this plug is "hot" all of the time. Later models have the option of turning it into a keyed source of power...
If you need a plug that'll work with your setup; Garmin sells them.

In your owner's manual; there are instructions on which fuse needs to be moved, and where to move it!

If you wish to learn a little about your machine, do a search on this site for finless' video on how to remove the battery,it's very complete. When you can see both terminals attach the cables from your battery tender to the battery posts and tuck the leads up under the seat. It is harder to write about then it is to do.

On an 2011 RT, it is very simple, there are two terminals under the seat. One is covered by a red rubber cap that you can remove.

Use alligator clips to make the connection. Instruction should be in your user manual.

you have to move one of the fuses to a different position and then you could use the12volt cigarette lighter in the trunk to plug in your battery tender. I think the fuse is number 5 and 6

    Look in your Owner's Manual:
There's a Section in there that'll tell you which fuse to move, and where to move it...

I have 2015 RT. You need to move the fuse from position 6 to position 7 to have the rear trunk power on all the time.
I installed an aux fuse block and have my trickle charger hooked to the fuse block that has power on all of the time.
