This is such a dumb thing to me but .... yesterday I finally got around to mounting my license plate and frame . The space between the rear tire and the fender is VERY tight , now my arms are not that fat but holding the nut to fit the screw was not very easy Even jacked up the rear wheel , never in my 70 years have I had such a problem with the most simple thing you could do on any bike so my hats off to the engineer , Hope I am the only one to have had this experience Otherwise great ride
Wow! Am I the only one who used the same screws that either a) came with the spyder, or b) that my dealership used to attach the temp plate? They aren't bolts and they don't go all the way through to the wheel side of the fender. I used plastic safe lock-tite to help keep them in place, but they were fairly long so I don't think there will be an issue.
We now have His and Hers Spyders!
Current Spyder: White 2015 F3-S SE6
His Spyder: White 2015 F3 SE6

The dealer plate was on there with wingnuts and when I unscrewed the reflector screws the wingnuts just dropped to the floor , I thought there must have a set screw in there , the hole in the fender does go all the way through and you need to get a nut behind the hole to start a screw ....but between the rear tire and the edge of the fender so I will never again change that frame .will send a pic soon
X2: The question id like to add to this is ...."did everyone only get room for top two bolts?" Yes works for most plates but they have 4holes for a reason! & my first plate frame broke off from lack of 4bolt support So i rednecked & added adapter to allow all 4 Then got a trailer hitch that apparently requires relocation & whole new plate bracket, now i am without license plate frame again, & or have the room to mount it cuz the plate light is too close & it matches my themefyi sturdy metal frame. Ill find a way just not happy with the standard "as less as we can get away with"
