Just a bunch of "puppies" you are. I grew up in the 40's where men were men and there was no mistaken

it. Women did not have to work and this country was just recovering from WWII. There was pride and

humility. Life was much more simple then and we worried less. Moms were at home to raise the Children

and Dads brought home the paycheck. We all went to Church on Sunday and said the Pledge of allegiance

at school each morning before classes began. You all missed a great Generation!

    Hi Jack,

Re: Women did not have to work and this country was just recovering from WWII.

I was born before WW II and my mother was a welder in the shipyards.

    So there,

And I agree on everything else,

    Jerry Baumchen

I hear you. Grew up on a farm and Ranch in Colorado. I was ten when we got electricity and thirteen when we got our first indoor bathroom with running water. Before this I was the youngest and was last to bathe in the old galvanized bath tub with the same water. Kerosene lanterns for light until 1950. Had to do your home work while it was still light. Still we had a close Family and many great memories. It was the same for all in our area and none of us knew any different.

I miss those Sears and Roebuck catalogs in the "outhouse". Guess what they were used for?
