Agree but never hurts to ask a tech at dealership for any tips or what to do if something seems too odd. (Describe your mechanical skill level with tech, see if they agree you will have no problem). Hate to get 1/2 into it then find out you need dealer anyway.

It's very easy. The hardest part is taking off the tupperware. And once you take that off, you'll realize just how easy that is. Save yourself a bunch of $$$ and do it yourself. You do have a current, up to date (less than three years old) control module, don't you?

Spacetrucker, I may take you up on your offer. Thanks. Mainly because of taking off the Tupperware.
This doesn't SEEM like a tough job but I don't entirely know what's involved.
I'm going for it but may be here asking for help.

I'm going to order a new control module when I order the hitch.

Hold on here. You asked about installing the BRP hitch. Now you are talking about buying a hitch and module. Now I am confused. What are you going to get.

If you're buying a new BRP hitch, it'll come with a wiring module. Everything you need will be in the package. I would call the Can Am dealers that are sponsors on Spyderlovers. When you talk to their parts department, be sure to tell them you're a Spyderlover. You should get a discount. Shop around for the best price and then order it. It'll be delivered to your door in a day or two.
If you've never taken off the tupperware, it can be scary. Once you take it off, you'll realize it wasn't all that bed. You need to have a battery operated screwdriver. It makes the job easier.
Once you remove the tupperware a few times, you'll be able to do it in your sleep. It's just fear of the unknown.
You'll be fine.
