You can state what bike you have in the signature area as well. Then when you ask a question, people will know what bike you are referring to. Welcome and enjoy your Spyder! BTW, picture always help if you have a question or showing updates to your Spyder...easier to see than describe at times!

ok. my name is irvin . wife, joyce. we are sw of rockford ill. camefrom
9 years of a honde 1300c, and now a victory cross roads, which i love.
but, being past ss and medicare age, the bike is getting heavier. was
gonna do a cal sidecar trike conversion till i heard the mufflers. tried a new rtl
at loves park motorsports, and decided this might be the way to remain upright
and sane[jury still out on the sane part. most expensive anything ive ever
bought, except my shop building].decided on a rts. we have a garmin, and
dont need a luggage bag. they found a leftover white '15. hopefully pick
it up fri. sposed to rain sat and sun. will probably ask a lot of stupid ?'s
that have already been asked. have spent hours onthe forum , youtube,
and everything else i can get my hands on. this is not a toy for the faint of
heart. this is our retirement present. hope its a good decision. have had great luck
with all the other bikes. this one is poses a lot of work to do anything on it. i do almost
all my maintenance, and this one scares the heck out of me. thank for reading. i type w/2
    fingers.

The Spyder can seem a bit complicated to work on at first glance.. But you'll get the hang of it quickly, and there are lots of folks here with answers.

    Default New to the Forum

I am also new to the Forum. I don't have a trike YET, I'll have to wait til next year but I thought I'd get started on this journey taking a suggestion from my friend Devious56. I'm an ex-two wheeler who has been away from riding for about 8 years due to medical complications. My wife and I used to enjoy taking the Harley to Door County for a few days when we both could get away. We really miss doing that. We were at a stop light the other day and saw a couple pull up on this great looking RT-S. We looked at each other and decided this is what we need!
I've been reading the posts on the forum and have determined that this is a fantastic group of folks who enjoy what they do. I had 37 years on the railroad and didn't get much of a chance to spend much time doing things I wanted to do let alone spend time with my family. I think the time is now and I think the time couldn't be better spent than on a SPYDER with my wife!

    Default Welcome welcome....

To the spyder world and this amazing though sometimes strange place.. you are not blind and did not miss a thing there is no newbie section you just jump in anywhere. There are not stupid questions here cause this is an educational learning place... well for the most part cause we can stray... Great choice of ryde you will both enjoy it no end though we are a visual bunch we will need pictures when you figure that part out...

find a dealer who will let you ride one. look like there are quite a few relatively
close to you. just a matter of finding one who will treat you right.

Welcome aboard. Be aware that your wife may figure out how friendly the RT is and start riding it by herself; mine did. I'm back to riding my Valkyrie.
