Default Spyder 2009 GS Check engine light comes on above 90mph and goes off below it

    Hello all,

So I have a Can am Spyder GS 2009 SE5 that I recently tried to see what it could do on the highway. Well it's interesting that when I hit 90 mph the check engine light came on and anything below it, the check engine light goes off. Has anyone else experienced this? Or would know what may be happening?

    Thanks,

    Default Welcome welcome....

Welcome to the site and the spyder world....Start by checking your oil level as stated in your manual....or just after a good ryde take off your gear and check the oil level and condition you need to do this regularly cause these engines use oil. Maybe every 500 miles or so though I do it after most long rydes. Make sure you have a good oil that meets all spec's and filter (1) on the sm model or filters (2) on the se model. At those speeds you may be low and pushing the oil up faster than it returns.....
