Get it hot. (About 10 miles of driving) After getting it hot, park it on a level spot and let it run for about 30 seconds. Shut it off and check the oil. You cannot check the oil with the motor running.

Take your bike for a 30 minute ride. Come back and park on a level surface; with the engine still running remove the Left middle panel to gain access to the oil tank. No shut the motor off and remove oil dip stick, wipe off, carefully reinsert and screw all the way to snug, now remove and read the dip stick. If the oil is near the top mark do not add more, if its @ the bottom mark add 2-3 ounces and replace dip stick. Go for another ride repeat the sequence above.

All of the above can be found in your owners manual or a maintenance manual you can by on line from Green Manuals

    Enjoy

Do not check the oil with the engine running.

    From the manual:

    1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
    2. Open the seat. Refer to OPENINGTHE SEAT in the EQUIPMENT sub-section.
    3. The engine needs to idle for at least30 seconds at normal operatingtemperature prior to verifying theoil level.

NOTE: Adjusting the oil level on a coldengine will result in overfilling.
    4. Stop engine.
    5. Unscrew and remove the oil dip-stick.
