The instructions from Rivco say the limit is 12 pounds. Two rain suits and a half cover won't even make half the limit and that's all I plan to put on that rack.
It is shiny ( safety chrome!!!!) I did give the chrome a coat of paste wax and a quick polish to help seal the chrome surface( it does rust )

The RIVCO website only shows this rack in black. Where'd you find the chrome version?

Yes--- my 1/2 cover will-----but I'm not sure that all covers will..

Rivco is now supplying the chrome version ( guess it's not updated on thier site). Give them a phone call, they handled it very nicely.

Well pretty sure, just go to www. Rivcoproducts.com and check them out. more expensive than the tube style rack but the Rivco product has its advantages.

Installed mine (but in black) two days ago and I had the same problem with the template holes. E-mailed ValueAcc. and they said they'd tell Rivco of the problem next week.

I purchased directly from Rivco and emailed them directly. Really hope they do thier do dilligence and fix the problem.
