    Default Ceramic Blanket

I'm thinking of buying the ceramic insulation blanket to wrap my exhaust pipe. I'm trying to cut some of the heat on the Spyder to get it ready for summer riding. I saw one on EBay that takes 2372 degrees F. temps. Has any one else done this and it shouldn't cause a fire since it is designed to take that kind of heat i would think. Sorry if this is a re post.

I think that one rider in here used exhaust wrapping from DEI... He was happy with the results!

This may not be the same, but my wife's intruder's pipes would get so hot she could not ride it at times. Looked into raps, but ended up bypassing the catalytic converter. For her this did the trick. I have seen here on a thread or two people talking about doing the same thing on their . They did it for a change in sound, but it may also help with your heat problem.
