During the winter months ( spyder was in hibernation) I have the same rear lighting installed on my 2014RTS-SE6. I posted pictures of the same rear lighting that you have.

Yes, they are bright, and I am using them as a running, brake, I also bought them from Spyderpops. Yes, he does have some great lighting for spyders.

I have something similar without the turn signal function. I thought that the red LED's flashing at the same time as the amber stock lights could be confusing to folks behind me. Not to mention drawing the attention of the local LEO's for different color lights. (Yes I'm paranoid). But I do have the running and brake lights, and they really do the job of making me more visable.
