    Default Power to the trunk!

Lamonster did a nice video on how to turn on the power to the trunk with the key off. Just wondering if anyone else has done it and and if there are any downsides to it? I'm not a electrical guy by any stretch though this seems like a easy mod. If you're charging your phone for instance, with the machine off, any danger of draining the battery?
Thanks in advance for any opinions and thanks for the video Lamonster!

Default Just takes moving a fuse if I remember

Once the fuse is moved, the outlet is "Hot" with key off as you mention. I use the outlet to plug in my small battery trickle charger - works great at keeping a full charge on the battery.

That's exactly what I had in mind and maybe charging phone as well. No issues draining the battery?
    Thanks Don!

No problem unless you leave something charging with Spyder not running and run down your battery.

Would it be fair to say that just because it is 'hot,' it will not run the battery down, as long as you don't leave a phone or some other accessary plugged in charging with the engine off?

I have an alarm system, Sena BT headset charging and Sena BT transmitter on full time. All drawing power when the Spyder is parked. The battery will last 5 to 6 days before runs down enough I cannot start it anymore. So if you want to plug your phone in to charge it for an hour without the Spyder running that is no problem. If it is there for a week, that's a problem.
