From my FaceBook page........
OK folks I feel totally $#iTty but I have to explain my absence. Please excuse any typos but everything is a huge effort at the moment. Got home from the hospital about two hours ago.
Had a week in Intensive care and eight days on the ward.
So what was wrong?
Aside from a chest infection I suffered a perforated bowel which had to be removed rather quickly in fact it was "Emergency" surgery and I'm lucky to still be here ( or anywhere ).

I feel lucky you're still here, too, Jeff! Sorry to hear about your medical ordeal. Let us know how your recovery goes. Do you think you'll still make it to Spyderfest?

Wishing you a quick recovery. Have a couple pints of stout, it's good for the blood.

Thanks guys!
All of your good wishes are very much appreciated and I sincerely thank each and every one of you.
I did come horribly close to checking out....another couple of hours would have done it!
Now I have to get used to the colostomy bag and other life changing stuff....I fancy my diet is going
to be changed a lot and I'm already a healthy eater.

OJ, glad you're still with us!
Have two friends that had the same thing happen. One had a bag for about a year.
Take care and take it easy...
