This may have been asked but what ever happened to the Spyder Five? I know Lamont is rolling well but curious...

Spent some time with Fred Rau last year at Spyderfest. Still my favorite Motojournalist. He and his wife are down to earth real people. Hope he is there this year also. Tom

Is Fred Rau a Spyder rider now???? I believe I met him a couple of years ago at a BTW rally and they had two trikes - either Harleys or Hondas??? Just wondering.

Mickey Fisher was one, and he went on to be the creator/writer of the TV series Extant. FaranH was the other that rounded out the Five. BRP decided to stick with the original 3, plus whatever celebrity they could pick up along the way. Daniel Bastien, Lamont, and Fred comprised the original 3.

Fred still rides a spyder, along with a few other machines. the wife and I passed him and his wife (going opposite directions) out in Montpelier, Idaho while on our western trip last summer. wished we had known who it was at the time, we would have turned around and introduced ourselves!! we found out that nite, by seeing a post of Fred's on facebook , that they were at the bank in Montpelier Idaho!

We all know Lamont and I see Fred and his wife every couple of months when they're in town. I do remember them being kinda disbanded..... also heard they were quite a crew.....
