Default OEM can am heated grip installation on 2016 f3 t.

Has anybody out ther installed heated grips on a 2016 f3 t. Installing the new heated grips was quite easy but hooking up the wires from each one of the grips is another story.. The wires that they need to connect too are buried under the panels on top of the gas tank. Any body able to help me as to how much needs to come apart to be able to get at the connection area.

Grab a hold of the printed ring around the key slot and open like a jar. Lift the ring off, that's it.

If you watch Lamont's video for the fog light install he demonstrates what GunDoctor just stated.

    Default Top Panels

Got the shop manual downloaded and let me tell you I was extremely shocked on the amount of lack of detail in the Body subsection. I was able to get the panels off and it was it darn difficult . I thought I was going break the tabs off where they snap onto the tank . The place on the right front side of the tank is where the heated grips plug in and it had to be one of the tightest place I have ever seen to plug into a harness .
