Recommendation for a good product to remove sticky bugs from my Spyder

We take an abundance of large towels and soak them in really hot water, we then drape them all over the windshield and Tupperware. We let them soak for a good 20 minutes or so. We are then able to take this same damp towels and easily remove all of the bugs. Dry with dry clean soft towels then follow up with a little Lamonster Black Daimond Detailer, and you are good to go. BTW, the Bkack Diamond creates a surface that bugs don't stick too very well so this will aid in the next wash!

After a ride I put a dab of dish soap on any bugs and just leave it there until I wash the Spyder.....It usually dissolves them.......Mike

A 50% solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. Spray on watch bugs turn white and then wipe off with a clean cloth. Works great and doesn't harm the finish or windshield.

A dryer sheet in a spray bottle of water. Loosens bugs, puts a nice polish on the bike, and....smells good too.

Same here. Terrible bugs in FL, especially love bugs in May and Sept. and this really works great.

Unscented baby wipes are easy to carry in a zip lock bag. Nice to have something with you when you are riding, nothing to spill, work great on a helmet face shield as well.

I will try the hydrogen peroxide this summer when cleaning at home.

We got a sample of this at the SEMA show last year and it works great. Also, the polishing cloth is awesome for everything from removing bugs on your Spyder to polishing stainless steel in your house.

Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish with Microfiber Towels

+1 for Honda Spray Cleaner. Dawn dish cleaner has worked well for me. It's what they use to clean up oil soaked waterfowl. Especially good it you have lots of bugs.

Plexus is very good and pricey!

I've also heard that Pledge is good and have a can on the shelf for when the others are used up.

Elbow grease is a great additive for all of the above. :-)

I keep a small bottle in the frunk. It comes with a cloth. Works really well to remove bugs off windscreen in between stops.

Down here is Florida, when the love bugs show up, you can not beat dryer sheets. The tissue looking things you throw in to reduce static. All you have to do is rinse down the area, take a dryer sheet and wipe, not rub, and the bugs just disappear. I know, sound hookey, and I poo-pooed it when I heard about it, but the guy who told me also showed me, and by golly, it works.. Keep in mind, do not rub, just let the sheet wipe the area, and don't let it dry out until the bugs are gone. I was a big disbeliever, but now keep some on the vehicle so if it gets really bad I can take them off sooner than waiting until I get back home. Love bugs have to be the most corrosive critters on the planet and will ruin a paint job. Try it, you'll like it, or keep on doing what ever you're doing. It's your call.

I read about folks using Pledge, so I bought a can, a couple years ago. We rode Skyline Drive a week after I used Pledge on my Spyder - it looked great!

However, every time we stopped on the two day ryde, when I came back to my Spyder, there were bees, all over it! Apparently, they like that nice lemony smell, too!

Wet Spyder (or any other vehicle)..wet a dryer sheet (yep the kind folks use in their clothes dryers)....wipe those nasty bugs off...rinse rig ... then I wash with regular auto wash. I personally like ICE .. rinse well and blow dry with leaf blower!!! If on road I towel dry or jump on and air dry as I ryde!!
