Hi folks, my name is Russ and I am new to this site. I have a 2015 RTL. I ordered Rons Swaybar for my Spyder. I am asking for advice on how you raise up you bike to install the Swaybar. I was thinking the metal car ramps from Harbour Freight. They provide a 8 inch lift. Is this enough? Is there a better way to lift the bike? Thanks Russ
I found it necessary to use a jack stand set on a cement block under each A-frame.
Jacking it that high in the air before settling it steady on the jackstand/block perch was the scary part. Be sure you have a good ATV jack or equivalent.

I set 2" blocks under the back ends of my car ramps and it was enough room for me. Not sure if there's something that different between yours and a 2010. Loosen the frunk and stick a 2x4 between it and the framework and good to go

The install on any 2013+ model Spyder is a completely different animal from the pre-2013's. You don't need much height on the pre-2013's. You need 18"~22" of lift on the 2013+ models.
I remember a member stating he used his pickup. Dropped the tailgate and placed two 2x8's as ramps. Drove up blocked the rear tire and sat down to do the deed. I believe there was someone that follow his lead...

We got my 2013 RT LTD just a bit over 18" to do it - it was tight, but it worked. Used a hydraulic jack at the center lifting point and a pair of jack stands in front. Put the bumpskid on at the same time. A friend did the work and I "stupidvised"

I put my RTL on my lift, set some jack stands under the lift. Then stacked concrete blocks in front of the front wheels. Rolled the Spyder onto the blocks and went to town. I had about 32" of clearance. Overkill, probably but the idea of having fall on me didn't get it.

I did similar to this as well, except I used actual ATV ramps on the back of my 6x10 landscape trailer. My wife's F3 didn't budge at all.
Do all of the preliminary work with the Spyder lifted at 12" or so, then raise it up to the 24", pull the bar and put in the new one then drop it back down. Especially if you are piling blocks and using other iffy methods.

on my 2014, I rolled my front wheels up on regular ole car ramps and then set the parking brake. from there, I used a Harbor Freight floor jack just to the (right) side of center of the frame and jacked up the right side and wheel leaving the left wheel still secured against the stop of the ramp. I did follow up the right wheel with a jack stand just in case as the machine went up in the air. the loose old sway bar right end was slid till it rested on the driveway and as soon as the machine was high enough, it just dropped out...I slid in the new one, let the machine down both wheels back on the ramps and then I got under and bolted it up.
did it all by myself...wasn't the easiest, stress free operation ever, but I got through it ok
wished I had taken some pics
let's ride safe & be careful out there,

Thanks to all who responded. I installed Rons sway bar today. I use the car ramp method. Jacked it up higher just for a minute to swap the old bar for the new one. Rons instructions were fantastic and easy to follow. Really an easy install.

Just yesterday I helped a friend install a swaybar, bumpskid and highway pegs on a 2014 RTLtd. Run the Spyder up a pair of ramps on the tailgate of my pickup. Plenty of room.
