And now you have a great story(thanks for sharing) to tell as well as a fun new ride.

I bought it in Twin Falls Idaho about a hour before sunset. Had a trailer to load it on, a nice motel room for the night so all was great. When attempting to load the Spyder, I discovered the gate was two inches too narrow. This left me with the reality I was going to ride it home 615 miles to Cheyenne. Next move was to check weather. Winter in the mountains of Idaho, Utah and Wyoming is nothing to ignore. Discovering that a storm was moving in that night, I decided to head home right then. Over the mountains, 45 degrees, deer crossing signs every two miles, pitch black out and cold rain. I learned a lot about Spyder riding real quick but I enjoyed every bone chilling moment.
I've made a few mods. First was highway pegs. Second was a drivers back rest. Working on completing my exhaust and just ordered baja rons sway bar kit.
At 62 I am looking forward to many miles on the Spyder.

congrats
Congrats on your new ride. I had the same thing happen when I went to pick up my Spyder last August, but the ride for me was only an hour, on my new 2015 RTS, It was a good ride and I enjoyed riding and it was not raining but then I had to beg a ride to go back and get my truck and trailer. I asked if the trailer was wide enough to hold the Spyder and it was but the end gate was about 12 inches too narrow probably just like yours. Like you I am starting to enjoy making it mine with the extras. Enjoy your Spyder.

Welcome to "our little world" and congratulations on the new ride. Grew up (almost) in and around Greeley just 35 miles south of you. Lots of great mountain rides to the west.

It will take more than one trip to see Wyomng. It's different in every corner but all beautiful. Stay away from buffalo and bears....they will kill you
